Helmi’s Gardens is one of my favorite places in Columbia, and we took a little stop by this weekend for a little eye candy. The nursery is chock-full of outdoor plants, trees, succulents, indoor plants, pots and all kinds of plant related goodies. I’m huge on shopping local when we can, and it’s also a great place for all the photo ops.
This is the Chinese Elm Bonsai tree that we brought home (along with his two friends who are hanging out underneath). The tree is 8 years old, so please send us all the good vibes that we can continue to keep it alive.
I’ve been trying to properly summarize this past weekend with my friends in Hamilton. It was good for my soul, real life, deep conversations. Slowing down while the snow was falling was exactly what I needed.

The good list: the best reflections (on life and in windows), a jelly vs jam debate, star gazing, exploring a sweet little river town and a weekend of rest with my favorite people.
My best friend, Brittany, got married this past weekend and I’m so excited for them that I’m screaming it from the rooftops. I was so thankful to be asked to be part of their special day. Their wedding took place in Lake Geneva, WI which gave an absolutely perfect backdrop for all the festivities. Here are some of my favorite snap shots from the weekend.
