Week in the Life – Sunday

9:11am | Opted to watch church in the living room this week. It’s always the best way to kick off a Sunday. This year, I’m taking notes and journaling in my Growth Book from Growth Roots Co. Highly recommend, if you’re into that kind of thing.

11:23 am | Kevin ran some errands while I was studying, and came home to the most happy pups greeting him at the door.

2:26 pm | I wish I had taken a photo at lunch! We grabbed brunch with Jeff and Taylor at Broadway Brewery, and I only remembered to take a picture once we got in the car. I’m always a bring-home-half-of-my-meal-for-later person.

2:59 pm | Sundays are the days that my baby growth “week count” changes, which means that I’ll do a bump photo, if I think about it. We are 25 weeks – my app tells me that baby is the size of a rutabaga or a TI-89 Graphing Calculator. I’m currently planning on using the Tiny Beans app to share photos with immediate family when he arrives, so I’m posting these bump photos for my family there as well.

4:40 pm | Woke up from a nap. Here for all the naps these days and clearly Willow’s not too mad about it either. Peep Chloe’s tail on the other side of the bed.

10:35 pm | Sundays are always laundry days! Wrapped up my evening by putting all my clothes away before bed. My closet has been minimal since college, but having a true capsule wardrobe through pregnancy has honestly been a game changer. Definitely hoping to keep my clothing this paired down after baby arrives, as well. I’m currently rocking 3 pairs of denim jeans, 1 pair of olive green moto pants, 3 pairs of leggings/sweatpants, 1 pair of jean shorts, 3 dresses, a jean jacket, 3 crew neck sweatshirts, about 9 shirts, and 6 kimonos (+ sleepwear and a few items for working out that I wouldn’t wear for anything else).

There we go – a whole week in the life in the books. I’m thinking about doing this again near the end of my pregnancy, knowing that life is about to get flipped upside down (obviously in an amazing way).

Week in the Life – Saturday

5:58 am | Silly pups woke me up at 5:45am ready to get their day started. Before we had Willow, Chloe could sleep in until 10am, no problem, but Willow has consistently either woke up in the middle of the night to go outside or woken us up early since we got her in the fall of 2019. It’s been an adjustment, to say the least! I guess she’s been hellbent on preparing us for baby’s arrival. LOL

7:50 am | Today was so early that she got to take a nap in her cage while everyone else tried to go back to sleep. Luckily, I was the only one that didn’t get some more shut-eye. I’m kind of obsessed with this picture and her sweet turned head.

10:02 am | I’m so glad to start inviting people back into our home. My sweet friend joined me for some living room hangs and coffee (for her) /chai (for me). I could not be more thankful to have this wonderful woman and our conversations in my life.

12:12 pm | Kevin picked up some Ellianna’s Donuts and sent me this picture.

8:06 pm | More studying on the couch and Willow has completely squished herself between me and the armrest.

11:19 pm | Wrapped up studying and time for bed. Don’t worry, I got a nap in today that wasn’t pictured. Still lots of sleep going on around here.

Week in the Life – Friday

8:18 am | New work shirt is showing off the almost 25 week bump today. It’s been so crazy to document and see my body change so much so quickly.

8:36 am | Another morning, another photo of the dogs on the couch. I love that these girls have their routines and rhythms just as much as we do.

8:45 am | Walking to work! Here for the beautiful weather before it rains for the next week straight. I’m not a walk to work in the rain kind of person, so I’m trying to get the steps in while I can.

7:30 pm | Dinner time for the pups!

8:28 pm| I paused a little study session to snap a photo of the excited pups when Kevin and Josh got home from an errand.

9:56 pm | All studied out and ready for bed. This couch has not had more sit time in the last 6 months than it has in the last 5 years.
